Topwater Striper Fishing on Lake Lanier

Report Date: November 12, 2012

The stripers have been on top most mornings and late afternoons over the last couple of weeks. Our boats have done well on Pencil Poppers, Super Spooks, Redfins, freelined bluebacks, and while pitching live herring to surfacing fish. Look for the stripers busting or rolling with and without seagulls on them. There is nothing like casting into big schools of surfacing stripers. Downlined bluebacks have been working when the fish have not been on the top. We will be open for morning and afternoon guide trips daily through the Thanksgiving Holiday week. The best trip times as of this past week have been the daylight start at 6:45 am and the 1 pm start. Click on our Twitter button for a sample of the action straight from the lake. Here you will find current photos and fishing conditions. (Please note, that not all of the fish we catch on our boats daily make it to the Twitter page). This report is brought to you by Shane Watson Guide Service, Hammond's Fishing Center, Carolina Skiff Boats, and Batteries Plus. We Appreciate Your Business and Hope Everyone Has A Great Thanksgiving Week.
