Summertime Striper Fishing is Great on Lanier

Report Date: June 4, 2014

Shane Watson Guide Service Report. The summertime, downline striper fishing bite is here. Downlined bluebacks fished 20 to 30 feet deep over a 25-60 foot bottom, on and just off points are working well. We are seeing great numbers of 10 to 20 pound fish with a few bigger ones mixed in. We are also catching some big spotted bass, catfish, and walleyes while live baiting for stripers. Over the next 3 months, you can expect some of the best striper fishing of the year. Mornings and afternoons have both been great and this will continue most days thru Sept. Check out our Twitter page for photos straight from the lake. This report is brought to you by Shane Watson Guide Service, Hammond's Fishing Center, Carolina Skiff, Suzuki Marine, Lowrance, Minn Kota, Magic Tilt, and Eagle Claw. We Appreciate Your Business.
