Shane Watson Guide Service Report (12-29-08). The striper fishing remains about the same. Most of our fish this week have been caught on downline bluebacks and trout fished from 30-50 feet deep over a 60-80 foot bottom. Freelines, Leadhead Flukes, and Flex-it spoons have produced a mix of stripers and big spots. The middle to the rear of most creeks are producing right now. We have had boats scattered from Bald Ridge up to Gainesville and the fishing has been about the same, north and south. The trolling bite is good, if you can mark them on your graph they will eat the u-rig most everytime. Capt. Mack's 3 and 4 arm u-rigs are both producing. Don't forget your u-rig retriever, it will pay for itself the first time out. Overall, the fishing is about the same. Look for the birds and look for rolling fish, and watch your electronics. Keep moving until you find some fish, blind fishing is hit or miss right now. This report is brought to you by Shane Watson Guide Service and Hammond's Fishing Center. Good Fishing.
