Warmer Weather and Good Fishing on Lake Lanier.
Report Date: March 7, 2009
Shane Watson Guide Service Report (3-7-09). The fishing is very good on Lake Lanier. This warmer weather has got the fish right up on the bank, in the middle to the backs of creeks. We are catching stripers on leadhead flukes and freelined bluebacks in 3 to 10 feet of water. Some mornings the numbers have been very good and they have ranged in size from 3 to 22 pounds the last few days. We have also caught and released many spotted bass while casting the flukes. Overall, the weather is perfect and the fish are biting well. This report is brought to you by Shane Watson Guide Service and Hammond's Fishing Center. Good Fishing.
